General Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 11 October 2026
These terms govern the use of Musifans®, a service provided by Neurosound Ltd (Companies House no. 17324409, 20 Wenlock Road, London, N1 7GU, England). By creating an account, buying from or supporting an artist on Musifans, you accept them.
1. The service
Musifans lets artists publish their tracks and offer their fans, from a dedicated page and a QR code: buying the track, financial support, creating a personal version of the track ("Create my version") and perks defined by the artist (shout-outs, experiences, services, digital products).
2. Definitions
- Artist: any person or band with a Musifans account used to publish their music.
- Fan: any visitor who listens to, buys, supports or creates a version on Musifans.
- Perk: any offer freely created by an artist in addition to the track.
- Fan version: a sequence of portions (loops) of the original track, chosen by the artist, arranged by a fan and played back in their browser.
- Commission: the remuneration of Musifans, deducted from each transaction.
3. Role of Musifans
Musifans is an intermediation platform. The artist is the seller of the tracks, support and perks offered on their pages: the sales contract is formed directly between the fan and the artist. Musifans provides the technical tool, the page, the QR code and payment processing, without being a party to that contract.
Payments are processed by Stripe through Stripe Connect. Each artist is paid into their own Stripe account and accepts the Stripe terms applicable to connected accounts.
4. Artist account
- Sign-up is free and reserved for adults, or for minors authorised by their legal guardian where Stripe allows it.
- Artists provide accurate information and keep it up to date. They are responsible for keeping their credentials confidential and for any activity carried out from their account.
- Artists may request the closure of their account at any time. Fans keep access to purchases made before closure for as long as their link remains valid.
5. Free for artists, commission
- Musifans is free for artists: no subscription, no cost to publish a track or create a page, a QR code or perks.
- Musifans charges a commission on each paid transaction, at the rate shown in the artist dashboard at the time of the transaction. It is deducted automatically by Stripe at the time of payment, before the balance is credited to the artist's account.
- Stripe processing fees are separate from the commission and are borne by the artist. Each sale shows, in the artist dashboard, the amount paid, the commission, the actual Stripe fees and the net amount.
- Any change to the commission rate applies only to transactions made after it comes into effect.
- If a fan is refunded, the related commission is not returned, unless the refund results from an error by Musifans.
- Artists are solely responsible for their tax and social obligations, including any VAT applicable to their sales.
6. Content published by artists
Artists warrant that they hold all the rights needed to publish and sell each track and each item they upload: recording, composition, lyrics, artwork, photos and texts. They indemnify Neurosound Ltd against any third-party claim in this respect. Artists who are members of a collective management organisation (PRS for Music, SACEM or other) remain responsible for their declarations to it.
To make the service work, the artist grants Neurosound Ltd, for as long as the content is published and worldwide, a free, non-exclusive licence to host it, reproduce it technically, stream the public preview, allow the track to be played in the studio and on fan version pages, and present it on Musifans. Artists keep all their rights.
Content that infringes the rights of others, that is hateful, violent, pornographic or unlawful, and misleading offers are prohibited. Musifans may hide, disable or remove any content that is reported or clearly contrary to these terms, and suspend the account concerned.
7. Versions created by fans
By enabling "Create my version", the artist allows fans to arrange the loops they have chosen and to share the link to their version. No new audio file is created: the version is played back in the browser from the original track. Fans acquire no rights in the work; they may listen to and share the link to their version, but not record, broadcast or otherwise exploit it.
8. Purchases and support by fans
- Price: the price is shown on the page before payment, in the artist's currency. No sign-up is required.
- Purchased track: fans receive a personal download link, valid for 30 days and 10 downloads. The file is for private use only; any redistribution, resale or commercial use is prohibited.
- Support: a voluntary contribution to the artist, without anything in return.
- Perks: fulfilled by the artist, under their sole responsibility and within the time frame they state. In case of difficulty, fans should first contact the artist, who receives their email address with the order; Musifans can help find a solution on request.
- Right of withdrawal: for digital content supplied immediately (track download, studio access), the fan requests immediate performance and acknowledges losing the right of withdrawal once access is opened. For other perks, the rights granted to the fan as a consumer by the law of their country of residence continue to apply, against the artist as seller.
9. Availability and liability
Musifans strives to keep the service available at all times but cannot guarantee it: interruptions may occur for maintenance or for reasons beyond its control. Neurosound Ltd is not responsible for content published by artists or for the fulfilment of perks, which are the artists' responsibility. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
10. Personal data
Data processing is described in the Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to these terms
These terms may change. Artists are informed of any significant change by email or in their dashboard. The applicable version is the one in force at the time of use or purchase.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. A consumer residing in another country keeps the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of their country of residence and may bring proceedings before the courts of that country.
