Musifans, step by step.
Everything you need to connect your music with your fans: create your space, get paid with Stripe, design your artist page, publish a track, sell your tickets and your merch, find gigs and stay in touch with your fans. Reading time: 20 minutes.
1 Create your space
Signing up is free, with no subscription. It takes two minutes.
- Click “Get started” at the top of the home page.
- Add your photo (required): a portrait or your band's picture, square if possible.
- Enter your artist or band name and your style (Pop, Rap, Electronic, Spoken word…).
- Choose your email, a password of at least 8 characters and your country, then accept the terms.
You land on your dashboard. The “Your Musifans journey” list shows what is left to do, with a button for each step.
2 Complete your profile
My profile menu. This is what your fans see on your artist page.
- Photo and style: required. With them, you appear on the Musifans home page, among the artists who have just joined.
- Short biography: who you are, where your music comes from.
- Links: your website, Instagram, YouTube, Spotify, TikTok…
- Support: on by default, with three suggested amounts (€5, €10, €15). Your fans can always choose another amount.
- Your page address:
musifans.com/your-name. You can change it: your QR codes stay valid. - Discography: your albums and EPs with their Spotify, Deezer, Apple Music, YouTube, SoundCloud or Bandcamp links. The player shows right on your page.
- Pro space: a press kit (PDF or link) and a contact form reserved for promoters, labels and media. Their messages arrive in the Pro requests menu, and your email address is never shown.
Your profile also holds your artist QR code. It leads to your “Support” page: fans pick an amount in one tap, and find your shop and the rest of your page right below. See the QR codes chapter.
3 My page design
My page design menu, or the 🎨 My page design button in My profile. Your artist page can replace your website: your fans listen, book, buy and support you without leaving it. This is where you make it your own.
- The mood: 8 complete themes (Musifans, Golden night, Stage, Neon, Ocean, Forest, Paper, Day), all checked on phones. “Musifans” follows the visitor's light or dark setting; the others are applied as they are.
- The accent colour: any colour, or one click on a suggested one. It colours the buy buttons, links and accent headings. Contrast is checked automatically: a colour too light or too dark for the background is adjusted to stay readable.
- The heading style: Modern, Elegant or Poster.
- The cover photo: a large photo at the top of the page, behind your profile picture. Choose which part stays visible (top, centre or bottom).
- The main button, under your name: it opens support, or leads to your perks, your concerts, your shop or your featured content. You can change its text (“Join the fan club”, “Book my seat”…).
- Featured: a block right under your introduction. A YouTube, Spotify, Deezer, Apple Music, SoundCloud or Bandcamp link shows with its player; any other link becomes a button, with an image if you like. You can also feature your next concert, with its booking button.
- The section order: drag them, or use the arrows on a phone. Rename them and hide the ones you don't want. A heading left empty keeps the original one, translated automatically into the visitor's language; a heading you write is shown as it is.
The preview updates with every change, in mobile or desktop view. Your fans see nothing until you click “Save”. The “Back to the original design” button clears all your settings.
4 Get paid: connect Stripe
So that your fans can buy a track, support you or order a perk, Musifans relies on Stripe, the online payment service used by millions of businesses.
Before you start, have ready
- a valid ID document (identity card, passport or residence permit);
- your bank details (IBAN): an account in your name, or in your organisation's name;
- your mobile number, to receive a verification code;
- if you invoice through an organisation (association, sole trader, company): its registration number.
The steps
- In your space, open Payments and click “Connect my account with Stripe”.
- You land on a secure Stripe page, whose address starts with
connect.stripe.com. Enter your email and mobile number, then type the code you receive by text. - Choose your type of business. Without an organisation, choose the individual status (individual or sole trader); otherwise, that of your association or company.
- Fill in your personal details: name, date of birth, address. For the website, the address of your Musifans page is already suggested.
- Add your bank details: this is where Stripe will pay out your earnings.
- If Stripe asks, upload a photo of your ID document.
- Confirm. Stripe automatically takes you back to Musifans, to your Payments page.
Where do you stand?
Your Payments page shows your status, updated automatically:
- Not connected: you haven't started yet.
- In progress: your Stripe sign-up isn't finished, or Stripe is checking your details (usually a few minutes).
- Payments active: your fans can pay. That's it! ✅
How much do you earn?
Musifans is paid only through a 10% commission, deducted automatically when the payment is made. Stripe also takes card fees on each payment. The rest is yours.
Each sale shows the actual breakdown (amount paid, commission, Stripe fees, net) in Sales & fans. Stripe then pays your earnings into your bank account automatically, on its payout schedule. The first payout can take a few days. Your income is yours: remember to declare it according to your situation.
5 Add a track
- Click “+ Add a track” (the + button on mobile).
- Drop your audio file: MP3, WAV, FLAC or M4A, 60 MB maximum.
- Add the artwork: square, ideally 1400 × 1400 px. It's the first thing your fans see after scanning.
- Give it a title (album, year, genre and description are optional) and confirm that you hold the rights to the track.
The track is created as a draft. In the Details & offers tab, choose what your fans can do:
- 🎵 Buy the track: the fan downloads the file after paying (personal link, valid for 30 days).
- ❤️ Support the artist: a donation of the amount they choose.
- 🎛️ Create my version: the remix studio, free or paid (see next chapter).
- 🎁 Perks: your tailor-made offers.
Also set the public preview: the passage the player lets people hear on your page. With an MP3 or a WAV, it is actually cut: the full track is never exposed. When everything is ready, click “🚀 Publish”.
6 Loops and “Create my version”
Your fans can remix your track on their phone, using loops you choose: intro, verse, chorus… Each version gets its own page to share, and its listeners discover your music in turn.
- Open the track's Loops & preview tab. Musifans detects the tempo automatically and shows a grid: numbered gold lines mark each bar.
- The easiest way: click “✨ Suggest loops”. Musifans finds the intro, the verses, the chorus… and aligns them to the bars. Listen, rename or delete.
- You can also select a passage by dragging on the waveform: the selection snaps to the bars. The 1, 2, 4 or 8 bars buttons set the length in one tap.
- Listen to the result with “Test the sequence”, then save.
You need at least 2 loops (12 at most). Because they are a whole number of bars long, they flow in time, in any order.
WAV download (optional). In Info & offers, the “⬇ WAV download” option lets fans who have access to the studio download their version and all your loops. This is what DJs and content creators look for: your loops travel through their mixes and videos, with your name on them. The option stays off until you turn it on; permitted use is personal or non-commercial, with credit to you.
7 Perks
A perk is anything you'd like to offer on top of your music: a video shout-out, a voice message, a private lesson, backstage access, your name in the credits…
- Perks menu, or a track's Perks tab, then “+ Add”.
- Where to offer it: on your artist page (visible even before your first track) or on a track page. You choose in the form, and you can move it at any time.
- Start from a template or from “💡 Find ideas”, then set the price, the quantity (unlimited or limited), an optional end date and the time frame.
- Write the instructions sent to the fan after the purchase. You can ask them for a message (the text of a shout-out) or the recipient's first name.
Each order appears in Sales & fans › To fulfil, with the fan's email so you can reply. Once the perk is done, click “Mark as delivered”.
8 QR codes and posters
- One QR code per track (QR code & stats tab): it leads to the track's page. Download it as a PNG, as an SVG for printing, or create your printable poster.
- An artist QR code (My profile menu): it leads to your “Support” page, built for phones: an amount in one tap, then access to your shop and your whole page. Perfect for a whole concert, on your merch or in your Instagram bio. It has its own poster too.
- Your posters (🖨 Create my poster button): pick a template (“Love this track?”, “Love our music?”, or your name in big letters with “Scan me to support me and discover my world”), a night or light background (less ink), then click any text to write it your way. Your choices are remembered on your device. Print it, or save it as a PDF for the print shop.
- Your QR codes are permanent: change your prices, your loops or your page address without reprinting anything.
- A QR code's short link also counts as a scan: put it in your bios and posts to measure what comes from your social media.
9 Your concerts
Concerts menu: add the event name, venue, city, date, time and, if you have one, the link to your external ticket office. Your upcoming dates show on your page and on each of your tracks, right after the scan. To sell your tickets on Musifans, then click “🎟️ Ticketing” (see Ticketing).
On the concert map
Each date is placed automatically on the Musifans interactive map (Map menu), based on the venue and the city. Every visitor sees the concerts around them (tonight, this weekend, in the next 7 or 30 days), with the distance and a Tickets button.
- An audience that doesn't know you yet: your date shows up for local music lovers, not just your followers. That's where new fans are won.
- Nothing to do: the location is worked out when you add the concert.
- Straight to booking: the button opens your Musifans ticket office if sales are open, otherwise your ticketing link.
Your subscribed fans are also told about each new date by email (see Your fans and mailing).
Top gigs: add your past concerts too. Everything your fans pay on the night of a concert (from noon to 6 a.m.) counts towards that concert, and artists' best nights appear on the Musifans home page, with your photo and your name. Rather not appear there? Untick “Appear in the top gigs” in My profile.
10 The band calendar
Calendar menu: your concerts, rehearsals, events and days off in one place, as a list or a monthly calendar. Your next dates also show at the top of your dashboard.
Adding an entry
- The “+ Add” button, or a click on a day in the calendar. Choose the type: 🎤 Concert (added in the Concerts menu, with its date already filled in), 🥁 Rehearsal, ✨ Event (shoot, interview, recording…), 🌴 Unavailable (holiday, work) or 📌 Note (a deadline, a memo).
- A rehearsal or an event can repeat every week or every 2 weeks, with an end date if you like. An “unavailable” entry can span several days.
- Your concerts from the Concerts menu appear on their own, with their ticket link.
- If someone in the band is unavailable on the chosen day, the calendar tells you right away: “⚠️ Léa unavailable that day”.
- To edit an entry (date, time, title, place…), click it, in the list or in the calendar. A regular rehearsal is edited for the whole series. You can also edit the members' shared entries.
Sharing with the band
- The musicians in My band open the calendar with their personal link, no account needed. The 👥 The band button: copy each person's link or send it by email.
- For each entry, the “Visible to the band” switch decides whether the others see it. Unticked, it stays private: only you can see it.
- Each musician adds their own entries (their days off, for example) and can only edit their own. You're notified when a member adds a shared date.
- The filters at the top of the calendar hide a type of entry or a member's dates.
In your phone's calendar
The 🔄 Sync button: one click for Apple Calendar, Google Calendar or Outlook. You subscribe once and every date updates on its own. Google can take a few hours to pick up a change. This link is personal: if you share it by mistake, “Change link” replaces it.
Importing your Google, Apple or Outlook calendar
In 🔄 Sync, under 📥 Import an existing calendar, paste your calendar's secret address in iCal format (in Google Calendar on a computer: Settings, your calendar, Integrate calendar). Your appointments then show in the Musifans calendar, refreshed every 3 hours, and the calendar warns you if a rehearsal clashes with an appointment (“Hugo already has something at that time”). For each imported calendar, choose what the band sees: only “busy”, the titles, or nothing. Read-only: nothing changes in the original calendar. Three calendars at most per person.
Reminders
- Each entry has its reminder: a week before, the day before, that morning or 2 hours before.
- The 🔔 Reminders button: get them by email and on your phone (first turn on notifications in the App menu), and choose the reminder for your concerts for the whole band.
- A shared entry reminds the whole band; a private one, only its author. Members set their emails from their link.
11 Booking: find gigs
Booking menu: find where to play, reach out to venues and track your follow-ups until the date is locked in.
🗺️ Where to play: the venue map
- Your area: enter your city and a radius in kilometres. The map and the list show the venues, bars, clubs, theatres, festivals and promoters around you.
- Filters: type of venue, 🔥 Active this year (concerts were booked there), ✓ On Musifans, 🍺 Also places with no known gig, then All venues, Never contacted, In my leads or Already played.
- Search by name, city or postcode also finds venues outside your area.
- A venue's page: capacity, styles played, recent concerts, published contacts (write, call, website), directions, reviews from bands who played there, and your private note. Played there? Rate it: your review helps other bands.
- Venue missing? The “+ Venue missing? Add it” button: it becomes visible to every artist, and its location is found automatically.
Contacting a venue
- ✉️ Contact: your introduction message is already written, with the link to your page, your press kit and your upcoming dates. Edit it, then open it in your email app or copy it. The venue moves to “Contacted” and a follow-up is scheduled in 7 days.
- 📅 Propose a date: if the venue is on Musifans, your request (preferred dates, fee or terms, message) goes straight to its space. You follow the conversation in Booking, and the venue can accept or decline the date.
📋 My leads
- Your venues in columns: To contact, Contacted, Followed up, In talks. Drag each card from column to column as things progress, or switch to List view.
- Each lead has its own card: contacts (booker, programmer, bar owner…), next follow-up and what to do, links, notes and a history of exchanges (email, call, note). The “+ Lead” button adds one by hand, which you can link to a venue on the map.
- This week's follow-ups are shown at the top, including today's and overdue ones.
- Date locked in? Drop the card into Confirmed and create the concert in one click: it appears on your page and on the concert map, and your fans are told. Confirmed dates and declines are filed under Outcomes.
12 Ticketing
Sell tickets for your concerts directly on Musifans, with no ticketing platform. Once a concert is added, click “🎟️ Ticketing” on its line.
- Tick “Sell tickets for this concert”.
- Create your rates: full price, reduced, guest… with a price and, if needed, a number of seats per rate. A price of 0 creates free entry (simple registration); otherwise €5 minimum.
- Optionally enter the total venue capacity and the info printed on the ticket (doors opening, bar on site…).
- Save, then share the sales link. It also appears on your page, on the concert map and in the emails sent to your fans.
- The ticket: fans pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and instantly receive their tickets as a PDF, one QR code per seat.
- Registrations: the list (name, email, rate) and the takings are on the same page, exportable as CSV.
- Manual registration: for someone booking by phone, or for a guest. Choose “💶 Pay at the door” (the scanner will remind you of the amount to collect) or “🎁 Offer the ticket”. The ticket is emailed if you enter the address.
- On the night: open “Scan tickets” on your phone and aim at the QR code. Green: entry approved. Red: the ticket has already been used or isn't valid. A code can also be typed in by hand.
- The money: it lands in your Stripe account, like support payments. No subscription: just the Musifans commission on paid tickets.
- Your merch with the tickets: if you have a shop, your products show under the tickets, so fans book their seat and their T-shirt at the same time. Setting “🛍️ Offer my shop with the tickets”, concert by concert.
13 The shop (merch)
Merch with no queue: during the concert, your fans order and pay on their phone, then pick up their item at the stand after the show. No card machine at the stand, no queue to pay, no “I'll think about it” that ends with them walking out.
Create a product
- Shop menu, then “+ Add a product”. Start from a template: tour T-shirt, embroidered cap, signed CD or concert bundle.
- Give it a name, a photo (square if possible), a description and a price (€5 minimum).
- Add up to two options, for example “Size: S, M, L, XL” and “Colour: Black, White”. Stock is set version by version; an empty box means no limit, and a version at 0 shows as sold out.
- Bundle: tick tracks to download and add extras, one per line. Example: the €39 concert bundle = the T-shirt, your tracks as downloads and a signed photo.
Handover: at the stand, by post or digital
- 📍 Pickup at the stand: the fan collects their item after the concert, with their pickup code.
- 📦 Delivery by post: set the shipping cost for your country (0 for free delivery) and, if you like, a cost for abroad. The fan enters their address and the shipping is added to their order.
- ⬇ Digital: nothing to hand over, the tracks are emailed as soon as the fan pays.
Tick the stand, the post, or both: the fan chooses when ordering.
For your fans
QR code → shop → €25 T-shirt → size M → payment by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The fan picks the concert where they'll collect their item (“Tonight” comes first) and gets a 4-character pickup code, on screen and by email. Your shop can be reached from your page, from your “Support” page (where your artist QR code leads) and under the tickets of your concerts.
At the stand
- Stand pickups: for each concert, the “To bring” list (for example “Tour T-shirt · M × 12”) to pack your boxes, then the paid orders. The fan gives their name or code, you find them, hand over the item and tap “Handed ✓”.
- Shipping by post: the orders to ship, with the address ready to copy (“Copy the address” button). Add the tracking number if you have one and click “Shipped ✓”: the fan gets a “Your order is on its way” email.
- Stand poster: an A4 poster with your shop's QR code and your products, to print and put next to the merch.
- You're notified of every sale, and it shows in Sales & fans (Shop filter). The money lands in your Stripe account, with the usual Musifans commission.
14 Crowdfunding projects
An album, a video, a tour, a vinyl pressing: present your project, set a goal and a duration, and your fans fund it. The project page shows a meter that rises with every contribution, the number of backers and the days left.
The money arrives right away
Just like a tip, every contribution is paid straight into your Stripe account when it's made, minus the Musifans fee of 10%. Musifans never holds the money: there's nothing to claim at the end, and you keep everything you raise, whether or not you reach the goal. Your fans are told so on the project page.
Create your project
- Menu Crowdfunding projects, then “Create my project”.
- The essentials: a title, a tagline, your goal and the campaign length (15 to 90 days; 30 days works best).
- A landscape image and, if you can, a one- to two-minute YouTube or Vimeo video where you talk about the project.
- A few lines telling the story: who you are, what you're working on, why now.
- Rewards: a thank-you, early access to the album, a signed CD or vinyl, an invite to the release show… Each has a minimum amount, a limited or unlimited quantity, and can ask for the fan's address if it's sent by post.
- Where the money goes (optional): studio, mixing, pressing… The page turns it into a coloured bar.
- The “Ready to publish?” checklist tells you what's missing. Publish: the campaign starts right away.
During the campaign
- Contributions: every contribution, with the fan's name, email, chosen reward, shipping address and message. Tick “Sent” when a reward has gone out, and export the list as CSV.
- Post an update: recording, pressing, release date… The update appears on the page and is emailed to your backers (one a day at most).
- You're notified at 25, 50 and 75% of the goal; at 100%, your backers get the good news too. The campaign goes on until its end date.
- Extend by one week (90 days in total at most) or end the campaign whenever you like. Once started, the goal can be raised, never lowered.
What makes the difference
- ✨ Find the words: five questions (your story, a moment with your audience, why now, what's done and what's missing, what you want your fans to experience). The assistant turns them into your presentation and a 60 to 90 second video script in five stages: the connection, how the project was born, the real obstacle, giving the fan a role, the proof and the invitation. It makes nothing up: anything missing stays in brackets.
- 🎙️ The project's song: link the campaign to a track. Its preview plays on the project page, and the track page (the one its QR code opens) shows “Help this song come to life”. Fans who just heard it live can back it on the spot.
- ⭐ Founding fans: until the project reaches 30% of its goal, every backer becomes a founding fan, with a badge on the backers' wall. It's the best reason for your inner circle to join early.
- 🎯 Milestones: beyond the goal, say what each amount adds (a second video, vinyl pressing). Once the goal is reached, the page shows the next milestone.
- 💌 Tell my fans: from the contributions page, a ready-written message goes to your fan list, and you edit it before sending.
- 📊 Tracking: page visits, the share of visitors who contribute, the average contribution and the number of founding fans.
15 Your fans and mailing
My fans menu: the list of fans who want to hear about your concerts, and whom you can write to whenever you like.
How your list fills up
- When a visitor likes your page, a window asks: “Let me know about your next concerts near me”. They leave their first name, their email and, if they wish, their city.
- A “🔔 Get notified” button also shows next to your concerts.
- Every fan who pays (support, track, perk, ticket, shop) joins your list automatically, with the first name and email given at payment; their confirmation email tells them so. For fans who paid you before, an “Add my paying fans” button shows in My fans.
Automatic emails
- New concert: as soon as you add a date, fans near the venue get an email. A fan who gave their city only hears about concerts less than 150 km away; without a city, they get all your dates.
- Reminder: an email 3 days before the concert, so they don't forget.
- The email button leads to your Musifans ticket office if sales are open, otherwise to your external ticketing link, otherwise to the concert on your page.
- Two switches, under “⚡ Automatic”, let you turn off the announcement or the reminder.
Writing to your fans
- In “✉️ Write to my fans”, start from a template (Next concert, My tracks, Support) or write your own message.
{prenom}is replaced by each fan's first name, in the subject as well as the message.- Add a link and its button text if needed: quick links fill in the ticket link of your upcoming concerts.
- Send yourself a test first with “Send me a test”, then send it to all your fans.
One message a day at most, so your fans stay attentive. Your words are sent as they are, without translation; only the Musifans frame is translated into the fan's language. Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe link, and your list can be exported as CSV: it belongs to you.
16 Sales, fans and statistics
- Dashboard: scans, sales and income for today, this month and since the start, scans over the last 30 days and latest news.
- Sales & fans: every payment with its commission, its Stripe fees and your net, the perks to fulfil, and a CSV export for your accounts.
- My band: playing with others? Add the members and each one's share. Payments land on your Stripe account and Musifans works out what everyone should get (in total and per gig); you make the transfers, click “mark as paid out”, and each member can get their summary by email.
- A track's QR code & stats: scans, plays, conversion (scans followed by a purchase) and your fans' devices.
17 Playing in a band
Playing with others? Musifans can pay each musician their share, straight into their own account, on every sale. Nobody has any transfers to make.
The automatic split in 3 steps
- Add the members. In My band: each person's name, email and share (the total is 100%). The first one on the list is you.
- Turn on “Pay each member their share directly”. Each member gets an email with a link: they create their payment account in 5 minutes, with no Musifans account needed.
- Play. On every sale, everyone receives their share in their bank account, in their own name.
Good to know
- A member hasn't created their account yet? Their share waits and is paid as soon as they have. You can follow everything in the Payment accounts card.
- Everyone declares their own earnings, according to their status.
- On Musifans, everything starts at €5: tracks, the “Make my version” studio, tips and perks.
- A fan gets refunded? The shares are taken back automatically, in proportion.
Rather make the transfers yourself?
Leave the automatic split off. Payments come into your account, the To pay out card shows everyone's share to the cent, and you click “Transfers done” once you've made them. A CSV export is available for your accounts.

18 The Musicians' Café
The Musicians' Café menu: a 3D café where you meet other musicians. Your next bass player may be having an espresso there.
- Moving around: tap or click the floor. On a computer, the arrow keys or W A S D work too. Drag to look around.
- Sitting at a table: tap a chair and the table's conversation opens. Only the people sitting there can read it.
- Meeting someone: tap a musician to see their profile, message them privately, or call them on WhatsApp if they allow it.
- Classified ads: the cork board lets you look for a musician, sell gear or offer a service.
19 Frequently asked questions
How much does Musifans cost?
Nothing to publish: no subscription, no fee to create a page, a QR code or perks. Musifans only takes a 10% commission on each payment from your fans, and Stripe its card fees.
When do I get paid?
With each payment, the money goes to your Stripe balance. Stripe then pays it into your bank account automatically, on its payout schedule; the first payout can take a few days. You can follow everything in your Stripe dashboard.
Do my fans need to create an account?
No. They scan, choose and pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Only their email address is requested, to send them their purchase.
Is my track protected?
The public player only plays the preview you choose. The full file can only be downloaded after payment, through a personal, time-limited link.
I can't see my name on the Musifans home page.
Check that your profile has a photo and a style: they are what makes you appear among the artists who have just joined.
How do I delete my account?
Write to us from your account's email address. Your fans keep access to what they bought.
Can I offer free entry?
Yes: a rate at €0 creates a simple registration, with a ticket and its QR code, scanned at the door like the others.
Can fans buy a T-shirt without coming to the concert?
Yes, if you tick “Delivery by post” on the product: the fan enters their address and pays the shipping cost you set. Digital products can be bought at any time.
A fan has lost their pickup code.
Look up their name in Stand pickups: the code is just a shortcut. They'll also find it in the email received after paying.
Can my fans unsubscribe?
Yes, in one click, from any email. An unsubscribed fan gets nothing more, even if they buy again.
Can my Musifans page replace my website?
Yes. It brings together your music, your concerts, your shop, your perks and pro contact, and you make it your own in My page design. Unlike a simple list of links, your fans buy and leave their email without leaving it.
How do I find places to play?
Open Booking: set your city and radius, filter the venues active this year, add them to your leads and contact them with the ready-made message.
Do my musicians need an account to see the calendar?
No. Add them in My band, then send them their link from the “👥 The band” button in the calendar. They see the shared dates, add their own and can subscribe their own calendar.
